Many people dream of owning that “piece of paradise” out in the country far away from the madding crowd. And it is still possible – even with today’s prices. Plus, land is a limited resource that can be a great investment. But you need to know what you’re doing. It is critical that the person you're dealing has invested in land themselves, and not just had listings.
I bought my first piece of bare land 30 years ago. Even though I had a legal background and previous real estate experience, there was a lot to learn (no pun intended). I have also learned what it takes to turn a good investment into a great investment.
